Eva was Miss Corpus Christi USA 1998. She starred as Isabella Braña on The Young and the Restless from 2001 to 2003. She is starring in the new ABC drama Desperate Housewives in 2004. Eva Longoria also starred as a psychic in the 2004 made-for-TV movie, The Dead Will Tell, and was cast as the lead in the 2004 film, Carlita's Secret. Eva Jaqueline Longoria is on the fast track to stardom with her return to primetime this fall. Longoria recently starred on L.A. Dragnet , Emmy Award-winning producer Dick Wolf's modern-day take on the classic police drama. She also brings to life the title role in the upcoming feature film Carlita's Secret . Longoria currently lives in Los Angeles (2004), where she spends her off-time engaging in all types of sports, ranging from rock climbing to motocross and kick boxing to yoga. Pastimes also include salsa dancing, crocheting and home decorating. She has a passion for the study of Latino literature and history, and is politically active throughout California and nationally with various organizations in the pursuit of advancing Latino rights. The youngest of four sisters who grew up on a ranch in Corpus Christi, Texas, Longoria attended Texas A&M-Kingsville, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. After graduating from college, she entered a talent contest that brought her to Los Angeles, where she was spotted and subsequently signed by a theatrical agent. Longoria's timing couldn't have been better, and she was determined to see where her acting dreams would take her.
